Unemployment…well actually there are more issues involved here. Like personal development. Work environments. The (lacks of) quality of education. And i think in broader respects also some of the insanities of mankind. In the end unemployment is not really needed in many cases. There are lots of ways to solve this problem of business (and) economics. I also think economics or at least some intellectuals with the right understandings should concentrate on finding ways to do so. To solve this and other problems. Solutions are there, if we are willing to find them.

I do not know much about schools of economics but did read a bit about institutional economics lately. Also because of my interests in CS Peirce and pragmatism. Both Commons and Veblen seem to be directly influenced by pragmatic philosophy. As far as i understand this was however more the pragmatism of Dewey. But do not know much about this really. Only that the institutional view, that seems to view the economy as negotiation process (or in rhetorical ways?), does interest me.
