    McCloskey’s observations on general equilibrium theory in this chapter appear to contradict her position on this subject in the book “Knowledge and Persuasion in Economics”( chapter 11). She appears to be a bit critical of the theory in that work. I say “appears” because I may have misunderstood her views.
